The cosy corner

Now that the weather is changing and becoming more rainfull and cold we're probably gonna spend more time indoors. That, however, doesn't have to bee a bad thing!

With a litlle imagination and creativity you can transform your livvingroom/room/bedroom into a cosy sanctuary where you can rest and fuel up for the next day:-)

TIP: A couple of new nick nack items might just do the trick to "cosy up" you old dresser/shelf!

 A brand new bed blanket, some fresh flowers or perhaps some more fluffy pillows might just do the trick to transform your boring bedroom into the most cosy room of the house:-)

Now one of the most powerful things you can do to get a nice atmosphere  going is to light up candles! Make some cute centerpieces with seasonal decorations such as golden leafs or even nuts!

You can get all kinds of candles in different shapes and colors.....also try to get the scented ones - some of them really smells heavenly!...(my favourite right now is the orange scented ones).

You dont have to spend a fortune in order to make your home a great place to have fun and lovely moments!

Try your local second hand stores to see if you can scavange some vintage items!

Who knows, maby you'll be lucky to find some material for a new set of curtains or a new vase for your chestnut branches?

TIP: Nothing makes you more warm and fuzzy inside than a nice hot cup of tea, hot chocolate or simply a good glass of vine!

DIY elbow patches the cheap way!

So you've propably seen these jumpers on the street already - the elbow patches are BACK big time this season!

I personally think they look great and I'm finding myself having a major patch crush! <3
....But they are quite expensive:-/  It seems that the value of a jumper these days sky rocket when you add some square inches of suade material on to it. .. sooo I descided to go thrift shopping for some suede materials and get creative and save some money!.....the slogan for the day; be creative - save a daim:-P

I was lucky to find a second hand suede jacket for under 4 dollars but you can use anything you want for this little "arts and crafts" project:-) Just go and visit your local thrift shop and I'm sure you'll find something.....Okay, Let's get started!

HOW IT'S DONE IN 3 SIMPLE STEPS:

1. Find a jumper, cardigan, sweater (what ever you like) and measure hvor big you want the patches to be and where. I'm gonna use my new grey oversized jumper for this.

2. Cut a round "oval circle" in a piece of paper and put it over the suede. That way you'll know where to cut the suede and get two uniform and eaven pieces for your elbows:-)

I used a white pencil to draw the line where I'm suppose to cut.

3. Get your sewing kit and sew the patches into place all the way around.

I used a grey thread. 

And there you go! Your own fashionable elbow patched piece for cheaps:-D

I've sewn in a suede pocket into this long t shirt...cool huh?:-)

The best home made scrub mask in the world!

This is truely the best scrub mask that I have EVER tried!
It leaves your skin baby soft and well nourished:-)

Dark brown sugar is moist and has much smoother grain texture than ordinary sugar making it perfect for facial scrubs!

Super Sugar Scrub mask:

All you'll need is some dark brown sugar

Wash your face with luke water and start to gently massage the sugar in circular movements onto your face.
Massage for about 5 minutes until the sugar almost desolve into a sticky mass.

NOTE: You might need to apply some more water on your palms to melt the sugar into your face.
Let it sit on your face for another 15 minutes before you wash your face.

The theory on this mask is that your skin doesn't get ennough sugar which it needs in order to stay elastic and vibrant.

I promise that you will see immediate results:-)

.....oh....and this mask is also great as a body scrub under the shower;-)

Homemade beauty mask for the sommer

So since it's summer and my foundation kinda melts of in the heat I figured it was time to set my focus on my face and the natural beauty (or lack of it:-P)...

This is a recipe for a homemade beauty mask that really makes your skin look like a million bucks!
...it's cheap, it's healty and you can make it at home^^


                                                  All you need is:
1 tablespoon of creme fraiche
½ mature avocado
1 tablespoon of honey

1. Blend it all well together until you get an eaven paste.
2. Wash your face
3. Put the mask on and relax for about 20 minutes
4. Wash of and moisturize with your favourite creme
5. You're done and fabously looking:-)

My DIY Halo/flip in hair extensions tutorial

So I finally edited the tutorial that I promised you guys to make.

My DIY Halo/flip in Extensions:-) Extensions without clips!

They are just so easy to make and so quick to take in and out of your own hair:-)

Some questions that I have anwsered:

1. Doesn't the "fishing" line hurt?
    -No, the hair on the halo isn't that heavy so you don't really notice that the hair is being held by the line. It's not painful at all! As a matter a fact I find this method much more comfortable to wear than clips:-)

2. Does this method damage my hair?
    - No it's very gentle and is used for extending children's hair (for pageant, modeling and stuff).

3. I don't seem to get how to attach the fishing line in place?
    - Just put it under your glued weft, put it to your head and measure how much fishing line you'll need to have it all around your head. Then just glue/sow the line under the glued wefts:-)

ps: I will make a video with exact step-by-step instructions as soon as I will get some new extensions:-)

pps: You can try to google or youtube flip in/halo extensions if youd like some more info about this method - it's the same thing as the homemade ones...(you just get a more customized/cheap and voluminous hair set with the DYI method).

How to make a cool bracelet

I was at the hobby store today and stumbled across some cool leather cords in different colors.
I decided to buy some in pearly lavender and then some silver beads and a magnetic lock.
Here's how easy it is to make one yourself:

1. 1 meter of leather cord 5mm , 4 silver beads 5mm, 1 magnetic lock

2. Place the beads on the cord.

3. Glue both ends with some super glue (just a bit) and let it dry for a couple of minutes

This is how it looks when put on. I just wrap it around my wrist 5 times:-) You can always use another type of cord and beads:-)

Yay I'm very pleased with my new bracelet.
It's just a very cheap and creative way of getting something different and new.
I will try to post a video one day on some of my other bracelets that I 
 do:-)
